2025 Spring Conference Charity Beneficiary

The charity selected to benefit from the spring conference is The Gathering Place in Athens, Ohio . We will be recognizing the charity at a BINGO Night at the hotel on Thursday night at the Spring Conference.

The charity is a member-operated, non-residential, peer recovery organization that serves adults who experienced trauma, or are experiencing a mental health issue or a co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder. They provide peer support, linkage services, advocacy, mental health education, recreational and wellness activities, opportunities to affordable housing, access to healthy food, and community integration opportunities. “The Gathering Place” was started in 1976 by patients released from the state psychiatric hospital (during de-institutionalization) and concerned community members.
